There are some things one just assumes are illegal. Fucking animals is one of them. For those not clicking on the link: I’m using fucking as a verb here. They’re moving to ban bestiality in Germany. Apparently it was legalised in 1969. Having sex with animals not being illegal is something I can see not being that odd. Not because I think it is OK but because it seems like it might be one of them things a country has to get around to making illegal. People are killing each other all the time so we had to make rules to ban it but having sex with animals is…well it’s another thing isn’t it? An odd thing.
Why the fuck was it legalised in 1969 in Germany? See that’s some political campaigning I would be interested in seeing. This would have been a group of ADULT HUMAN BEINGS campaigning for the right to have sex with animals – and they were successful. Will the Germans vote for absolutely anything if it is put to them?
The article says, A fine of up to 25,000 euros (£20,000) is proposed if someone forces an animal to commit “actions alien to the species”. Well having sex with a person is surely alien to any species that isn’t a person.
Of course the move is being fought. The delightfully named Michael Kiok – who apparently isn’t a Chris Morris character – from the Zoophile Engagement for Tolerance and Information group argues that the it is UNTHINKABLE that anyone should be punished unless there is proof that the animal has come to harm. I don’t even want to get into what ways this can be gauged.
Mr Kiok adds, “We see animals as partners and not as a means of gratification. We don’t force them to do anything. Animals are much easier to understand than women.” Is this someone who should be allowed a voice? It is a bit ironic that he does have a voice and uses it to defend his right to shove his penis into animals who can’t express any objection because they are unable to speak. And why is he having a go at women? It takes a special kind of person to look down his nose at woman while professing his right to have sex with animals. I am quite sure the female population of Germany see their loss as the farmyard population’s gain.
